Lowball works on top of zillow.com rental listings. Open one and it shows our estimate of fair rent, a suggested opening offer, and a likely landing range. Then it drafts the offer for you.
No account. No ads. Data sharing is optional and anonymous. Works on zillow.com listings and search results.
From our September 2026 snapshot of San Diego County rentals. Past cuts do not predict any one listing.
Every number comes with its evidence: nearby comps, days on market, price cuts, posted specials, and the listing site's own rent estimate shown for comparison. You see the reasoning, not just a figure.
Search results get a chip on each card: over by 12%, at market, or under market, with an opening number. Triage the whole page at a glance.
The panel shows estimated fair rent, a suggested offer, where it is likely to settle, and why. Big buildings get per-unit numbers and the posted specials called out.
One click drafts a polite, evidence-backed note to the landlord with one number and the comps behind it. Paste it, send it, and negotiate from evidence.
Lowball is a Chrome extension. It runs only on zillow.com and talks to one server, ours, to score listings.
Add to ChromeChrome Web Store listing pending review. Until then, ask us for the direct install link.
To score a listing, the extension sends that listing's facts to our server: price, beds, baths, size, location, days listed, price history. Nothing about you. If you opt in, the listings you view also help improve estimates for everyone. No names, emails, or searches, ever. Turn it off any time from the panel.
